Kapuso journalist Atom Araullo responded to allegations that a drone footage for his documentary was requested to be used for free.
According to Araullo, there is more to the story but would rather discuss it in a private setting.
He also added that Louie Antonio, the drone operator, is a partner and assured that his work will be paid.
“We worked with Louie in a professional capacity when we were there. He’s a partner and will be fairly compensated, if that’s not yet the case,” Araullo clarified.
I agree of course. But upon checking with the team, there’s more to this story than meets the eye. I’d rather discuss that in private. We worked with Louie in a professional capacity when we were there. He’s a partner and will be fairly compensated, if that’s not yet the case.

The issue was brought by Ezra Acayan, a photojournalist for Getty Images, where he showed a document asking for materials to be used for ‘The Atom Araullo Specials’.
On the said document, it is stated that the network is requesting to ‘waive all fees, including fees/royalty for the syndication of the documentary.”
