No news is worth dying for — but sometimes, journalists need to face life-threatening situations to provide the information needed by the public.
This was evident with the coverage of reporter Dennis Datu together with the TeleRadyo crew as they faced the wrath of severe tropical storm Quinta.
Beauty queen/journalist Ganiel Krishnan shared a snippet of the coverage where Datu continued his reporting despite the torrential rain and strong winds brought by the typhoon.
It can also be seen that he was being held by a crew member as Datu explained that it was impossible to stand straight because of the wind.
Krishnan named the two cameramen who withstand the typhoon as Jameson Salalima and Albert Moralde. Also from the crew are Gani Taotao and Lito Lopez.
Cameraman Kuya Jameson Salalima and Asst. cameraman kuya albert moralde had to hold Dennis Datu to keep him from being carried away by the strong wind Si kuya Gani Taotao and asst cameraman kuya lito lopez naman sa camera.
