Matapos ang halos tatlong taon, nag-resign bilang presidente at managing editor ng CNN Philippines si Armie Jarin-Bennett.
Sa liham na pinadala ni Jarin-Bennett sa mga empleyado ng CNN PH, dinahilan nito na kailangan niyang pagtuunan ang pamilya kaya’t magbibitiw sa pwesto.
“There comes a time when we have to pause, set everything aside, think of family, and contemplate the future. That time has come for me,” saad niya.
“With our son going to college in the U.S. next school year, we need to focus on the next chapter of our lives.”
Pansamantalang magiging acting officer-in-charge si CNN PH financial officer Leon Dy habang hindi pa nakakahanap ng bagong mamumuno sa media entity.
“I’m leaving knowing that the company is in a good place with a strong team who will always uphold the high standards of journalism that has made CNN the most trusted name in news in the world,” saad pa sa pahayag ni Jarin-Bennett.
Si Jarin-Bennett ay naging presidente ng CNN Philippines noong 2016.
