Another veteran broadcast journalist confirmed her departure from ABS-CBN after Ted Failon transferred to TV5.
Former ‘Rated K’ host Korina Sanchez posted a lengthy message on Instagram as she reminisced her journey on Kapamilya network.
“From 23 years old (practically just graduated from school) to just very recently, I was one of those very first on-air when the dictatorship toppled, democracy was restored and the network reopened in 1987. And till the day it shut down in 2020 I was still frontlining,” said Korina.
She also mentioned the Lopez family and her mentors as she credits them for her growth as a respected broadcaster in the country.
But even if she would start her new journey, perhaps on another network, Korina said that she will forever be a Kapamilya, in heart and in mind.
“Hindi na ako magpapasalamat kasi kulang na kulang ang salitang “salamat” sa pagkakataong ito. Ganito nalang: hanggang sa muling pagkikita,” she added.
It is rumored that Korina will also be shifting to Kapatid network, where she host a weekly magazine show similar to ‘Rated K’.
