Social media peeps can’t help but compare the two rival networks on how they covered the Rolly, which was considered to be the strongest typhoon in the whole world.
This Sunday, November 1, many are tuning in to GMA News TV for updates regarding Rolly, which was once categorized as a supertyphoon.
The news arm of GMA was vital especially since ABS-CBN’s news and current affairs program are not on free television channel A2Z,
But viewers were left disappointed on the programs aired on GMA News TV because while Rolly is ravaging on Bicol Region and Quezon province, the said channel opted to show reruns of cartoons, Tagalized Hollywood movies and foreign series.
Netizens aired their disappointment with the said network, and at the same time lauded ABS-CBN’s TeleRadyo for their special coverage on the typhoon.
I expected so much more from GMA News TV @gmanews with #RollyPH . As the remaining large network, you should've stepped up your game for a real time, significant coverage. Showing dubbed movies in your News Channel shows your lack of sympathy for the Filipinos. Saan ang puso?

Stop calling it GMA News TV kung ganito lang din ang lineup during the strongest storm to hit the world this year. https://t.co/LCvHxOWF32

Checked GMA News TV (Channel 24 Sky Cable) and they are airing a Filipino dubbed hollywod movie while ABS-CBN Teleradyo may special coverage about sa bagyo. Sino ulit ang walang franchise?

Okay, we're not antagonizing GMA News TV to make ABS-CBN look cooler. We're calling their producers out, not cancelling them. Please, you can do better than this sh*t.
