After three decades, Ted Failon formally leaves ABS-CBN following the shutdown of the network.

The Kapamilya network released a statement announcing the departure of the veteran journalist from their roster effective August 31.

This means Failon would have his last appearance on ‘TV Patrol’—which he is one of the main anchor—and his radio program ‘Failon Ngayon sa Teleradyo’ on Monday.

“We admire Ted’s talent, passion, and commitment to radio as his most effective medium in serving the Filipino people,” the statement reads.

“He will always be a Kapamilya. We wish him well on his journey,” it added.

Before the announcement, there are unverified reports that Failon would jump to TV5, which gains traction following his exit from ABS-CBN.
