Journalists won’t stop on providing the truth even when faced with great adversity.
That is the reason why many people admire the truthseekers in the society, including one high school student who idolizes ABS-CBN reporter Zen Hernandez.
Part of a birthday greeting of a student to Hernandez was her answer to a school activity, where she chose Zen as someone she would like to be given a chance to become a prominent person in media industry.
“Isa siya sa aking inspirasyon sa pagtahak ng journalism. Pinigilan man ang kanilang boses, patuloy si Zen Hernandez sa paghahatid ng balita at pagbibigay serbisyo sa mamamayang Pilipino,” said the aspiring journalist referring to the franchise denial of the ABS-CBN network.
Hernandez replied, “Salamat! I pray that we continue to inspire you to reach for your dreams. Go go go for it!”
