ABS-CBN journalist Jeff Canoy pleads for help as he witnessed the damages done on the island of Catanduanes by supertyphoon Rolly.
Canoy shared pictures of wrecked infrastructures and homes brought by the natural calamity.
Rolly had its first landfall in the Philippines at Bato, Catanduanes while it was still categorized as a supertyphoon.
Government officials estimated that about 80 to 90 percent of homes in the said province were damaged.
“Can’t stress enough how much #Catanduanes needs our help (and other affected areas). Local governments are running out of resources for aid after dealing with a series of typhoons and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Canoy.
Shelter, food, water, medicine, clothes will go a long way. Those who are organizing relief efforts, please reply with details on this thread so those who have means can have different avenues to help. #RollyPH pic.twitter.com/PS82FbcaiU
