Isn’t it ironic that some former ABS-CBN employee is campaigning for a relative of someone who was the reason why they lost their jobs?
According to Nick Villavecer, one of the casualties of ABS-CBN shutdown, there are former Kapamilya employees who back Sara Duterte’s run for the presidency.
“What is it with former ABS-CBN employees who are now campaigning for Sara Duterte to run for president?” tweeted by Villacever.
“Dude, paalala ko lang, nawalan tayo ng trabaho dahil sa tatay niyang pasista. Hindi ko kayo maintindihan,” he added.

The denial of ABS-CBN franchise resulted in 11,000 job losses, adding to the millions of Filipinos who were also displaced because of the pandemic.
There was a call on Congress to revive ABS-CBN’s franchise bid, but in February 2021, President Rodrigo Duterte said that he will not allow the franchise renewal to push through.
“I will not allow the NTC (National Telecommunications Commission) to grant them the permit to operate,” said the President.
