Mainit ngayon ang mata ng mga abogado kay Ben Tulfo kaugnay ng pamamahiya umano nito sa isa nilang colleague sa public service show na Bitag noong Agosto 21.
Hindi nagustuhan ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ang mga salitang binitawan ni Tulfo laban kay Atty. Kazper Vic Bermejo.
Minaliit at pinahiya umano ni Tulfo si Bermejo matapos magdesisyon ang abogado na sa Korte ideretso ang reklamo ng kanyang client imbis na sa barangay.
Grave threat ang reklamo ng client ni Bermejo na pinaniniwalaan ni Tulfo na kaya panga resolbahin ng barangay at hindi na dapat dineretso sa Korte.
Tinawag ni Tulfo si Bermejo na ‘may gatas pa sa labi’ at inutusan pang humingi ng tawad.
“Mr. Tulfo’s harsh and demeaning words were unnecessary to his declared purpose of informing and educating the public and renders a disservice to the interest of maintaining the public’s faith in our judicial system in which lawyers play an important and indispensable role,” saad statement ng IBP.
“Thus, we caution the public against resorting to channels that assume to secure speedy justice at the expense of fundamental rights to privacy and due process,” dagdag pa nito.
