Loyal LA Lakers fans are certainly celebrating after LeBron James and Co. managed to end their decade dry spell on the NBA Finals.
‘King James’ made sure they won’t be a victim of Denver Nugget’s 3-1 comeback as they claimed a 117-107 win in Game 5 of WCF.
The four-time NBA MVP had an impressive all-around statline with 38 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists to make his way back into the finals after failing to step into the playoffs last season.
The first year Laker Anthony Davis also churned out 27 points and five rebounds for his first ever Finals appearance.
The two superstars will be backed up by several veterans who had Finals experience like Danny Green, Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo.
Here are some of the reactions of local sports scribes regarding the accomplishment of the LA-based squad.
I really hope they win it all the way… for Kobe. #NBAFinals https://t.co/3nkDVYNaue

Deep down… *waaaaaayyyy* deep down, I always knew the Lakers were going to make the Finals. It’s pretty cool they got to make it all the way.
Congratulations to all the Laker fans on my timeline!!!!!!!

Happy for Lakers fans. The sheer number and passion dealing with frustration since the last finals appearance, the shock and pain of losing Kobe… Itβs been rough, but youβre back in the finals.ππ
(Hopefully, the Heat will see you there.πππ)
